These RCS Messaging Terms explain how Pig and Olive Ltd t/a Pig and Olive may contact you using Rich Communication Services, also known as RCS, when you choose to receive messages from us.

1. What RCS messages are
RCS messages are enhanced mobile messages that may include text, images, buttons, links, branding, suggested replies, order information, promotional offers, loyalty updates, and other interactive features.
RCS messages may be delivered through your mobile network, your device messaging app, Google RCS Business Messaging, or another approved messaging provider.
2. What we may send you
If you opt in, we may send you RCS messages about:
- Pizza Points, loyalty rewards, offers and promotions
- Location-specific updates, including van stops, opening times and pre-order reminders
- Order updates, booking information, customer service messages and account-related notifications
- New products, menu updates, events, launches and restaurant news
- Feedback requests, service updates and important operational information
Some messages may be marketing messages. Others may be service messages relating to an order, booking, account, enquiry or customer service matter.
3. Consent to receive messages
By providing your mobile number and choosing to receive messages from us, you consent to Pig and Olive sending you RCS messages, SMS messages, or other mobile messages where appropriate.
You may give consent by, for example:
- ticking a consent box online
- signing up to Pizza Points or another Pig and Olive service
- entering your mobile number during an order, booking or account registration process
- responding positively to an invitation to receive messages
- otherwise confirming that you would like to receive messages from us
You are responsible for making sure the mobile number you provide belongs to you or that you have permission to use it.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your location preferences, account activity, loyalty status, promotions, orders, bookings or enquiries.
We aim to keep messages relevant and reasonable.
5. Costs
Pig and Olive does not charge you to receive RCS messages. However, your mobile provider may charge you for data usage or messaging depending on your tariff, network, location and device settings.
6. How to opt out
You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
You can opt out by:
- replying STOP to a message where supported
- using an unsubscribe or opt-out button where shown
- changing your communication preferences in your account, where available
- contacting us directly and asking to be removed
Once you opt out, we will stop sending you marketing RCS messages as soon as reasonably possible. You may still receive essential service messages where necessary, for example messages relating to an active order, booking, payment, account security issue or legal requirement.
Google requires RCS businesses to respect opt-out requests, and businesses must provide opt-out options.
7. Restarting messages
If you have opted out and later wish to receive messages again, you may need to opt in again through one of our sign-up forms, account settings, loyalty platform, or by following any restart instruction provided in your messaging app.
8. Data we collect and use
To send and manage RCS messages, we may process information including:
- your mobile number
- your name, where provided
- your order, loyalty, booking or enquiry details
- your message preferences
- message delivery, read, click, interaction and opt-out data
- technical information required to send, deliver and manage messages
We use this information to send relevant messages, manage consent, handle opt-outs, improve our customer communications, prevent misuse and comply with legal or platform requirements.
9. Service providers
We may use third-party providers to deliver RCS messages, SMS messages, loyalty communications, order notifications and related services.
These providers may process your mobile number, message content, delivery data, interaction data and other information needed to provide the messaging service.
RCS messages may involve platforms or providers such as Google, mobile network operators, messaging aggregators, loyalty providers or other approved communication partners. Google’s RCS terms allow information to be used for purposes such as operating the service, enforcing policies, detecting abuse, preventing fraud and addressing security or technical issues.
10. Message delivery
We cannot guarantee that RCS messages will always be delivered, delivered instantly, or displayed correctly. Delivery may depend on your device, mobile network, messaging app, internet connection, RCS availability, provider systems and other factors outside our control.
Where RCS is not available, we may send a message by SMS or another appropriate communication method.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse our messaging services, including by:
- providing a mobile number that is not yours or that you are not authorised to use
- attempting to interfere with or abuse our messaging systems
- using replies to send unlawful, abusive, threatening, offensive or misleading content
- attempting to impersonate another person
We may suspend or stop messaging where we reasonably believe there has been misuse.
12. Privacy
Your personal data will be handled in line with our privacy policy. Our privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK data protection law.
